Din Djarin, The Mandalorian, is the new weilder of The Darksaber. Defeating it's pervious owner Moff Gideon to save his sone. And with the saber he is now the ruler of Mandalore. Combining his forces with Bo Katan Kryze, the now ex-ruler of Mandalore, he seeks to rebuild the Mandalorian people after they were nearly wiped out by the Empire. But does Din want to willingly accept his new duty after sending his son away? Bo Katan sees where his heart truly lies and takes advantage of it to rule Mandalore once again.
I made this comic roughly a month after the season 2 finally of The Mandalorian. Essentially when the show reached its full hype. The fanbase was simultaneously heartbroken at the loss of Grogu, excited to see Luke Skywalker return and curious to see what the new story conflict would be now that Din had inenvertently taken Mandalore away from Bo Katan. So I wrote my own story about it!
This story started out as just 6 pages highlighting Din's pain after giving his son away and his inevitable conflict with Bo Katan. Those first pages were so well received that I ended up making 3 more chapters to what ended up being a 31 page story. People desperately wanted to know where the show was going and my little comic somewhat filled that void. For fellow fans and for myself.
